About National Institute of Technology Agartala

NIT Agartala (NITA) was established in 1965 as Tripura Engineering College and upgraded to an NIT under the NIT Act in 2006. Located in Barjala, Agartala, it is one of the longest-established technical institutions in Northeast India. It offers B.Tech across 8 disciplines, M.Tech, M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics, MCA, and Ph.D. programs. UGC-recognised and NAAC-accredited.
